We’re Jon & Jessica.
We help parents with young kids make home feel more manageable.
We’re parents of three, and we know how hard it is to keep everything at home running smoothly when life feels nonstop. Before having kids, our life was busy but manageable. We both work full time, and once we became parents, especially after adding twin girls to the mix, it started to feel like we were always behind.
We weren’t struggling at our jobs. We were struggling with everything else. The laundry that never ended. The meal planning. The bedtime routines. The mental checklist that started the moment we woke up and never stopped.
We needed a better way to keep up with everything at home. Something that helped us stay on top of the everyday responsibilities without constantly rushing or feeling like we were dropping the ball. So we started putting simple routines in place that could actually hold up to the chaos of family life.
Over time, we made small, meaningful changes. We adjusted our days, how we planned our week, and how we shared the load as a couple. Eventually we found a rhythm. A version of daily life that felt calmer, more intentional, and actually sustainable.
That’s what led us to start GenRef, where we share simple routines and realistic home systems for parents with young kids. We want to share the tools that helped us feel more in control, not by doing more, but by focusing on what matters and supporting the life we want at home.
